We did try adding text to the thumbnails, but as this looked very pixelated at smaller sizes, we hoped the different icons used would be enough to differentiate them. For example the Commoncraft videos for Twitter are really highlighting how to use it socially, but these give examples of how to use it more professionally. I've just added these videos to a WebCT course that I am writing. My only negative comment would be that you have not put a heading for what the video is about e.g. microblogging, so that it shows before you press the play button.
